Marcy Savage, A Rochester, New York native, received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany. Marcy worked as a legislative associate at the New York Public Interest Research Group doing grassroots organizing and lobbying around health care and education issues. She then worked for the American Cancer Society (ACS) as Director of a tobacco control advocacy program. While at ACS, she advocated for the successful passage of New York City’s smoke-free workplace law in 2002, and other tobacco control initiatives. In 2003, Marcy joined Weingarten, Reid & McNally bringing her considerable experience in advocacy, grassroots and organizing with non-profits as well as health care policy. She has also pursued Masters’ work in public policy and administration at SUNY Albany’s Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy.
